Yachtmaster® offshore
As such, there is not an RYA course for Yachtmaster offshore which is achieved by doing the RYA/MCA practical exam. The exam itself is normally a minimum of 8 to 12 hours for 1 candidate increasing to as much as 20 hours for 3 students. It is common for most RYA Training centres offer a 5 day “prep” followed by the exam itself. The objective of the prep is to prepare the student for the exam and work any weak points that the candidate may have. The exam is held on the 6th day and is conducted by an examiner appointed by the RYA. It is essential that before doing this prep and the exam that you are qualified to do so.
